Instead of going back to BIOS version 0023, you can try updating the BIOS until the latest version 0117.

This specific model has many different BIOS versions, which means there are many fixes between one and another.

Something very important for you to know is that BIOS version 0099 is the one that added support for Windows 8. However once you flashed this version, it will no longer be possible to downgrade the BIOS to any earlier version.

Once you flashed BIOS version 0099, you will be able to install Windows 8 without a problem.

Then you can continue updated the BIOS until the latest if you wish.
